NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 2004--Yahoo! HotJobs (Nasdaq: YHOO), a leader in the online recruitment industry, is teaming with Mark Burnett Productions to help recruit for one of the most sought after positions in the United States - a contestant competing on "The Apprentice" to be an employee at a Donald Trump company. As part of this exclusive co-branded marketing campaign for the national reality hit television show, "The Apprentice," Yahoo! HotJobs launched a microsite off of its front page (www.hotjobs.com) through which aspiring corporate moguls can apply.

The campaign is designed to inspire job seekers across the nation to find the right job, whether it's as an employee of a Donald Trump company through "The Apprentice," or as an employee of one of the thousands of organizations listed on the Yahoo! HotJobs web site.

"The Apprentice" will be promoted on Yahoo! HotJobs as well as the Yahoo! network in order to encourage show viewership and drive applications. Yahoo! HotJobs branding will also appear on the taxi cabs in which "fired" contestants from "The Apprentice 2" will exit the show.

"We chose Yahoo! HotJobs because of its career credibility and its tremendous reach," said Mark Burnett. "The combined brand power of Yahoo! HotJobs and 'The Apprentice' will help us locate the best candidates for upcoming seasons of the show, and ultimately help all job seekers find the best opportunities suited to their strengths."

In addition, Yahoo! HotJobs will be running a "put America back to work" themed sweepstakes with "The Apprentice" giving people the opportunity to win a $25,000 "signing bonus." People will be able to enter the sweepstakes on the microsite beginning in late August. A special section of the microsite will also offer interactive polls, featured photos and resumes of the "fired" contestants, program information and additional content such as outside commentary.

"Our agreement with 'The Apprentice' highlights the innovative ways Yahoo! HotJobs reaches job seekers and provides them with the best employment opportunities," said Dan Finnigan, executive vice president and general manager of Yahoo! HotJobs. "This exciting opportunity enables us to connect directly with job seekers through a range of mediums and speak directly to a targeted audience interested in our message."

The campaign is scheduled to run today through spring 2005.

An average of 20.7 million people watched each week and 40.1 million watched all or some of the finale. Excluding a single run of a reality series (the first "Joe Millionaire"), "The Apprentice" is the top-rated new series on any network in five years in adults 18-49. It is also NBC's #1 series of the season and NBC's #1 new series in five years. "The Apprentice" is tied with NBC's "The West Wing" as primetime's most upscale program.
