Monster Government Solutions' QuickHire Becomes First Commercial Hiring Software to Integrate with New Job Announcement Display on USAJOBS
Monday August 30, 4:45 pm ET
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency is the Company's First Customer to Post a Job Vacancy on USAJOBS Through QuickHire Using the New Display

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 2004-- Monster Government Solutions, a division of Monster Worldwide (NASDAQ: MNST - News), announced today that its hiring management solution QuickHire is the first commercial software to integrate with the new job announcement display on USAJOBS, the official job site of the United States Federal Government. The new display makes use of tabs to better present job information to interested candidates and is now available to all QuickHire customers.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, which is the agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with protecting the nation's borders, has already successfully posted several positions to USAJOBS in the new format, making it the first Monster Government Solutions customer to utilize the tabbed display through QuickHire.
"The tabbed display on USAJOBS is a tremendously powerful tool to help better attract candidates and we're proud to deliver on our promise to our customers to be the first to integrate with the new format," said Brent Pearson, SVP and General Manager of Monster Government Solutions. "We expect many more of our QuickHire customers to begin utilizing the new display in the coming months."

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) launched the new job announcement display in late 2003 in order to improve the way the federal government advertises its positions on USAJOBS. The new display presents information in a standard, logical format and makes use of tabs to connect applicants to more-detailed information on job responsibilities, benefits and application procedures. OPM projects agencies to advertise more than 350,000 jobs on USAJOBS and job seekers to create 500,000 resumes through the site in 2004.

QuickHire is Monster Government Solutions' Web-based hiring management solution. QuickHire utilizes the Internet to allow government HR professionals to build and post vacancy announcements and develop online questionnaires to evaluate and hire the best candidates. More than 50 customers representing more than 100 federal, state, and local government agencies have chosen QuickHire to automate the hiring process.
