District Chronicles

The District Chronicles, published weekly year-round, is the largest community newspaper published by college students for 18-35 year old readers in the Washington, region. In each issue, the paper presents a mix of hard news, feature articles, sports explanatory journalism and commentary. Students are drawn together by a common desire - to work at an independent student newspaper and learn the basic skills and habits required to succeed in journalism. Each week approximately 25,000 copies of the paper are distributed throughout the city and selected suburban communities through such outlets as grocery stores, drug stores and universities and colleges including Howard University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, Catholic University, American University, University of the District of Columbia and Trinity College.
