Sometimes, I just stare at Elisabet Rohm and try to figure out why I don't hate her. Elisabeth Rohm looks like everything that I am suppose to hate. But even though Rohm presents this somewhat rather cartoonish American image of what female is suppose to be and look like, obviously the real person Rohm manages to override it.

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Elisabeth Rohm is expected to end her record-setting stint on NBC's veteran crime drama "Law & Order" sometime next season to pursue other acting opportunities. Rohm Closing 'Law & Order' Case

When I looked at this photo of Rohm, the first thing I thought of was this article detailing how Marlene Dietrich had marked up a photograph of herself, giving very detailed instructions on what was to be air-burshed out and what other edits were to be done to the photograph.

Dietrich wrote over the photo of her face and instructed that stray hairs be airburshed out. It was clear from Dietrich's written instructions that she considered the photograph of her face to be a product she was marketing.

When I saw some stray hairs on Rohm's picture above, my first thought was that Marlene Dietrich would have had those stray hairs airbrushed out.

One day Marlene Dietrich railed at her photographer for producing a series of unflattering close-ups. "What's wrong with you?" she exclaimed. "Eight years ago you used to make me look marvellous!" "I know," the photographer replied, "but I was much younger then." http://www.anecdotage.com/index.php?aid=13857
