When I suggested to Lockhart Steele (editor of real estate blog Curbed.com) that Craigslist and Ebay might be interested in him and his blog as part of their forth coming assault on the for-a-fee apartment listing business in New York City, The Mighty Locky poo pooed my suggestion and said: "Bwahahahaa. Please, I'll take some of whatever you're smoking.".

Now, the very next day after I made said suggestion, I see that Curbed.com is displaying a communication from craigslist's Craig Newmark concerning some silly ass real estate drama involving The Crest.

And, along with said communication that The Mighty Locky received from Craiggy Poo, Curbed.com today also has this ominous warning/threat to humanity that it is about to display advertising.

I wonder if the communication The Mighty Locky received from Craiggy Poo was by email or if this was like some kind of dinner and a movie thang".

I am confident that in any Battle of the Pretty Boy Real Estate Blogs, that my Strictly Real Estate ™ Blog will mop the floor with The Mighty Locky's little Curbed.com blog.

First off, my audience is actually buying sshhit (unlike Craiggy Poo's audience and Curbed.com's audience). As monster.com's CEO said, it ain't about amount of traffic, its about how many people camped out on your site are actually buying stuff.

Second,

I am much prettier than Lockhart Steele, a fact The Mighty But Not As Pretty As Me Locky appears to be unwilling to accept.

BTW, by my count, Craiggy Poo has now emailed The Mighty Locky of The Curbed.com at least twice; doesn't that like qualify as a relationship by Manhattan standards?

The biggest tip I can think of is Ebay buying your little blog.

First off, craigslist can't go much further on job postings (as I explain
on my board if you had bothered to read it). So, craigslist has to find
another revenue stream.

Second, it looks like a "for-a-fee apartment lisiting service" is what
Craiglist and Ebay have in mind as an alternate revenue stream for
craigslist.

Third, since neither craigslist nor ebay know diick about how real estate
in New York City actually works, it seems to me that a certain "Comatose
Pretty Boy With A Real Estate Blog" may just be in the cat bird seat.

Of course, if YOU do get an Ebay deal before me, I will hunt you down.
Isn't a picture of your building posted on your site?

That said, I didn't mean "tips" so much as "links to cool *hit you're
talking about on DramaNYC." I love linking message boards and comments --
it's so internetty!

Cheers

Well, I guess there is still a market for OLD guys like you and Steele. However,

I'm prettier than both of youse AND I sell more real estate.

Anyone looking for some PROPerty in Manhattan can email me (or we can hook-up at the West Side Club, my office hours there are 10:00 pm to midnight on Fridays).
