Bloomberg.com has an interesting article which explores temping in the UK and France versus temping in the US.

According to Bloomberg, there is a big demand for banking temps in the UK and the UK is the largest market for temps in Europe.

While temps in France don't make as much as temps in the UK and in the US, most temps in France have contracts and can't be let go until the contract ends.

The article claims that there is a big demand for accountants in the US because of Sarbanes-Oxley related issues.

"Accountants with five to 15 years experience can earn $75-$150 an hour in Sarbanes-Oxley related contract positions in banks, says Kraeger. This is 20% higher than last year. "
