I was on an assignment here a couple of years ago and the day Supervisor was a relatively nice guy. But there was some idiot there who "oriented" new temps and some tired ass old temp from Progressive Personnel who were just sitting there like land mines ready to attack any new temp (it wasn't clear if this was racial or if they just did it to everyone).
Anywho, there was this "Express Word Processing Station" there that I was doing that was intended to be a separate station for quick rush jobs. Well, one day I noticed that almost everyone was coming to me @ the Express station with work. I just did the work under the assumption that it just must have been a busy day. Then, when I stepped out for a minute to go to the men's room, I noticed that these two aforemention thangs were laughing and backslapping each other about sending all of this work to me, most of which was not short express work.
So, imagine the life of these people, they have worked at this place for years and years and are apparently going nowhere; and for kicks they sabatage temps who can work anywhere else in the City and make the same money if not more. In my particular case, I had a long-term second shift gig and I only temped at Bear from 12:00pm to 5:00pm because I didn't want to wake up too early.
The one nice person that was there was day Supervisor at the time and he has apparently been promoted to Manager. Prehaps he can finally clean up the place, (if he hasn't already done so) |
