I was sent to this place by WCC/DOL for training (which WCC/DOL pays for). This place has so much attitude and the training that they are giving WCC/DOL people is much much less than you can get at Xincon Tech School. If these people were making any money as a temp agency you would think that they would not be wasting their time and ours trying to do training. And I can't believe these girls are making enough cash to justify their attitude. To give you an example of the aforementioned attitude: one of the counselors told me that a degree is Engineering did not mean all that much because their trainer didn't have one and he was a networking genius. Don't waste your time talking to them, Go to Xincon Tech School instead. Career Blazers offered some A+ and some intro to MCSE for what WCC pays; at Xincon Tech School, WCC people can get A+, MCSE, UNIX and CISCO training. NOTE: The payment arrangement that the Department of Labor has with the companies doing training is such that the training institutions stand to make a lot more money if they can place you in a job after training. While this sounds great, in practice, when you go to one of these trainers, they will look at you based on whether or not they can place you in a job with their particular contacts. It is less important to them that you actually learn anything but that you can be placed. Obviously, The Jewish Intitute of Brooklyn is better capable of placing Jewish Brooklyn residents into jobs, and the Latino Training Institute of the Bronx is more likely to accept Latino Bronx residents. The point here is don't be surpised if some companies refuse to accept you into training even though they are paid by the DOL to do it. The reason is that they may know that they may not be able to place you in a job when the training is over with their particular contacts and that they will therefore make less money. If you are a Black resident of Manhattan, it just may be a waste of your time to go to some Jewish trainer in Brooklyn, or some Polish Trainer in Queens. Don't waste your time, for Networking go to Xincon Tech School. BTW, I know a temp who worked day and night in order to pay Career Blazers $5,000 for networking training that was less than the training I got at Xincon for free. |
